What Are You Living For?

What Are You Living For?

Sermon notes

Ecclesiastes 1

Life under the Sun feels like we are stuck in the Machine of life.
Life is like soap bubbles. Life is like being on a treadmill. Some of you feel that. You feel like you are on a hamster wheel and you can’t get off.

Solomon went through Seasons in his life when he was not pursuing God like he should and he was not at rest. He was distressed, depressed, troubled and tired of the toil.

At the end of his life he is looking back on his pursuits and like a teacher, like a preacher he wants to share what he has learned.

Man in himself – will come to no ultimate meaning in his own knowledge and experience but he will keep trying! And generations to come will repeat the former generations errors.  But you don’t have to!!!

When you pursue happiness you neither find happiness nor God. When you pursue God, you not only find God but you find satisfaction as well.
