Could it be you lack the power of the gospel in your life because You are not remaining in the rich soil of Jesus’ abiding presence?

John 15:5, 7-8

We are often like the person in the story who tries to dance without hearing the music. Our spiritual life is reduced to a series of dance steps—external behaviors and activities—devoid of God’s animating and transforming power. God’s desire is not to get us to do the dance but to get us to hear the music of the gospel with the dance (godly actions, character, and activities) flowing naturally from it.

How could you experience the presence of God in a powerful way?

1 Kings 19:1-5

When we get fixated on the presence of our problems, we lose our focus on the presence of God.

When you’ve had enough, God is enough.

1 Kings 19:5-18

God whispers because He is close.

God whispers to draw us close.

Elijah was changed because he came to see that if you want to experience God’s animating and transforming power you need two things: PRESENCE & PRAYER

Declaration: The Lord is close. He is near. He will never leave me nor forsake me. Nothing can separate me from his love. He is always with me. He’s with me right now as I read this.  I am never alone, and he is enough for me. His strength sustains me. He watches over me, and he guides me with his loving eye upon me. God is close, and he wants to draw me close. I will lean into him and listen for his whisper.
