Colossians 3:20-21

Ephesians 6:4

We do not just want to change the behavior. We want to see heart change.

Two principles at work in faithful parenting:

• Parent with gentleness
• Parents set the agenda for their kids.

Principles for parenting without exasperating:

We can be firm without being harsh.

Two things will help you make the change to using firmness with harshness:

• Dialogue less
• Show less emotion

It’s important to remember that your anger is helpful for identifying problems but not good for solving them.

Children can only take as much pressure as the relationship will allow.
