1 John 5:4-5

Because Jesus overcame this world, in union with Him, you can too.

Revelation 5:5-6

Revelation 12:10-11

I’m fighting a battle you’ve already won, no matter what comes my way I will overcome.
Don’t know what you’re doing but I know what you’ve done.
I’m fighting a battle you’ve already won!

John 16:31-33

“I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But Take Heart I have overcome the world!

Jesus says, “IN ME is the key to victory.”

We are in the world. We are in Christ. When we are in Christ, we overcome the world.

What have we overcome this world in Christ?

  • We overcome fears, anxieties and cares with Christ’s peace. Romans 8:31-39
  • We overcome because God is for us.
  • We overcome because God has already given us the greatest gift of Jesus.
  • We overcome because we have been set free from condemnation.
  • We have overcome because no one can separate us from Christ’s love.
  • We overcome because not even the extremes of existence can overcome us.
  • We overcome because we belong to the strong man Jesus Christ.
  • We overcome because we live even if we die.

Nine Scriptures with promises for you as a believer and how you can overcome:

  • Rev 2:7: To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.
  • Rev 2:11: He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death.
  • Rev 2:17: To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it.
  • Rev 2:26: To him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations
  • Rev 3:5: He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels
  • Rev 3:12: Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name.
  • Rev 3:21: To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne.
  • Rev 17:14: They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.”
  • Rev 21:7: He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.
