Don’t Do as They Did!

Don’t Do as They Did!

Sermon notes

We forget God.

Judges 2:7, 10 (CSB)

Deuteronomy 6:4-9 (CSB)

The question is:  What are you doing to strategically and intentionally raise up another generation of Christ-followers?

We reject God.

Judges 2:1-5 (CSB)

Judges 2:11-17 (CSB)

Proverbs 13:6 (ESV)

“The period [of the Judges] illustrates people’s need for a righteous king; but even a righteous king can rule only if the people are in submission to the rule of God.” – Wilbur Fields, Ozark Christian College

Submit to God’s ways.

1 Corinthians 10:1-6, 11-14 (CSB)

When Jesus is the righteous King of our lives, His reign brings peace to our lives.

Our rejection of God will always lead to pain and hardship, as well as ignoring God’s grand intention for the world.

Our God is compassionate and merciful, and He hears the desperate cries of His people again…and again…and again.

Our submission to our righteous King is the only way to true peace.
