During the Christmas season, we often give and receive more than we really need. That realization is the basis for One Less Gift.

Each Christmas season we ask the Northside family to give or receive one less gift in order to give more to those in need.

Cash and coats

For Christmas 2016, you can participate in One Less Gift in two ways:

1. By donating cash
2. By giving coats

Monetary donations designated for One Less Gift will support Northside’s benevolence fund. Donations of new or gently used kids’ coats will benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Springfield.

How to give

You can give cash to One Less Gift in one of three easy ways:

• Via our online giving page – just select One Less Gift from the designation box
• Through a check dropped in the offering plate on Sunday mornings – just note One Less Gift in the memo line
• Through a cash donation left in the clear boxes in the Worship Center – use the provided envelopes to mark your gift for One Less Gift

Coats for kids ages 6-18 can be dropped off at the church building Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. or on Sunday mornings until Dec. 11.
