A Roundup of Online Bible Studies, Videos and More

A Roundup of Online Bible Studies, Videos and More

As you are spending more time at home over the coming weeks, we wanted to pass along some of our favorite online resources for Bible study, family devotion time and more.

Online church resources

We have a new page on our website called Online Resources that will connect you with sermon guides/notes, family discussion guides, tips for watching online and our coronavirus updates.

Each week, we will post sermon notes and a family discussion guide for the day’s message. This Family Guide will include some questions you can ask your kids about the day’s sermon, along with possible activities, object lessons and stories.

This Sunday, March 22, we will be moving to ONE LIVE online service at 10:15 a.m. You can watch on our YouTube channel or on our Facebook page.

Middle school and high school resources

For the next several weeks, our Life Groups for 9th-12th grade students will be looking at meeting virtually. 6th-8th grade students will be in contact with their leaders. If you or your student has access to social media, we encourage you to follow Northside Youth on Instagram and Facebook as they will be sharing content and resources for students over the coming weeks.

Multimedia resources

In addition to the family discussion guide, you can access great resources for at-home devotional time from the following services:

  • RightNow Media –  Find great Bible study content for everyone, from family devotions to Bible studies to TV shows! It’s free to you thanks to a church-wide subscription. If you want an invitation, contact John@northsidechristianchurch.net.
    • Some of our favorite content on RightNow Media for families is the 5 Minute Family Devotional, Phil Vischer’s video studies for kids, Buck Denver’s “What’s in the Bible?” and The Slugs and Bugs Show.
  • The Chosen on VidAngel – This is a multi-season show about the life of Jesus, and this powerful show could be a great watch for anyone from middle school to age 103. A few episodes are good for kids, but due to some intensity, you may want to pre-watch before showing to littles.
  • Worship playlists – Listen to our Spotify Worship Set and Family Worship playlists.
  • The Bible App for Kids – Put out by the creators of the YouVersion Bible app, the Bible App for Kids is a free, interactive tool for exploring 41 “big” stories of God. Check out their free companion website for parents, too.
  • Crossroads Kids Club – A website hosted by Crossroads Church that provides great content just for kids, from video Bible stories to worship songs.
  • Mr. Phil TV – Straight from Phil Vischer, the creator of VeggieTales, comes a series of resources to help bring faith alive for kids. This is a subscription service, but you can get a free trial.
  • Answers in Genesis – Their Kids section offers videos and activities about animals, science and creation.

We’re excited to worship with you at 10:15 during our one live online service!
