Thursday, May 25, will be 40 days out from Easter, also known as Ascension Day. This is a day for remembering when Jesus went back to heaven with the angels, promising he will return in the same way you have seen him go.
Read the following Scriptures:
- Luke 24:36-53
- Acts 1:1-11
- 1 Thessalonians 4:13-5:11
In light of Christ’s return, pray for the following things:
- Pray that God would help your heart to be alert and aware at all times of Christ’s imminent return.
- Ask for Jesus’ help to live a self-controlled and faithful life until He comes.
- Pray for the Holy Spirit to bring someone to mind today with whom you can encourage with the fact of Christ’s coming.
