You may be returning to church, coming to church for the very first time or looking for a church home. Whatever your story may be – you likely have some questions we hope to answer right here.
What is the Sunday schedule?
We have three worship services for you to choose from at 9, 10:15 or 11:30 a.m.
We have four adult Sunday School hours for you to choose from at 8, 9, 10:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
Is there anything for my children?
YES! This is our specialty. Children’s programming is offered during the 9, 10:15 and 11:30 hours, and a teen service is held at 9 and 10:15.
Our littlest ones – infants through 3 – play and learn in our upstairs nursery, which has a mother’s nursing room located nearby. Four year olds through Kindergarten get to experience Critter Land downstairs, the perfect place to hear the big God story, make crafts and be engaged in learning God’s truth. N’Side Kids is the home for our first through sixth graders. This interactive worship experience includes large group worship, communion, offering and small group time.
Teens in grades 7-12 head across the parking lot to our Youth Center for Crave at 9 and 10:15. Designed for teens by teens, Crave includes worship, communion, prayer time and more. Our teens are also invited to serve throughout the church during other service times.
What do I wear?
You’ll find people in everything from shorts to suits on Sunday’s. Most people come to Northside casually dressed in jeans or business casual. Wear what you have and you’ll be warmly welcomed.
Will my children be safe?
Yes. All of our trained children’s ministry volunteers have been through a screening process and criminal background check so you can have complete confidence in the adults who teach and care for you kids.
Upon arrival at one of our two children’s areas (upstairs/downstairs) on any given Sunday, you can expect to be greeted by one of our check-in volunteers. You will be asked for some basic information such as name, grade, age, address, phone number and allergies in order to check your children into our various classes. We take your children’s safety very seriously, therefore you will receive nametags for your kids and matching parent pick up stickers. Each sticker in your family will have a random three-digit alpha-numeric code. Only the parent with the matching code will be allowed to pick up your kids at the end of services.
Where will I find the coffee?
You’ll find free coffee and tea in our main lobby and our downstairs children’s area lobby. You’ll find creamer and sugar there, too. We prefer that you finish your coffee before entering the worship center.
How do I find a Sunday school class or small group?
Check out our small group or Sunday school info here on our site to see the different group options and where they meet. You can contact John Presko with any specific questions. We’d love to help connect you to one of our small groups and or midsized groups.
What takes place during the worship services?
While the order and special elements may vary, there will be worship with music. The praise and worship team will lead us in songs to, for and about God. The style of music is contemporary.
- There will be a time of preaching. One of our ministers will communicate God’s Word in a relevant way for the purpose of life change.
- There will be a time of communion where believers remember the sacrifice that Jesus made on our behalf on the cross. This is a time for rememberance, reflection and repentance.
- There will be a time of giving. Giving is an act of worship for regular attenders of Northside. We do not ask or expect guests to give financially to the kingdom work at Northside. We simply give the opporutnity for all who want to participate in this act of worship.
- There will be a time of decision. This is a time in our worship service where we encourage people to respond in a variety of ways. We have a designated area people can come to for prayer, to begin a relationship with Jesus, to place membership with the church, to be baptized or to talk.
